Dirty Disco at Curve Bar

10 03 2007

Another guest submission from the lovely Rhiannon Davies:

Eamon Fevah failed to please Wellington crowds at The Dirty Disco at Curve Bar last Saturday. Fevah, founder of the now-international Fevah dance parties, managed to clear the packed dance floor five minutes into his set.

The oddity was in the audience response, given that the dance floor was crowded for the sets of DJ Tech Head and DJ Jacqs, two Wellington DJs who played either side of his set, the dancers showing an obvious preference for the local DJs.

“It was bizarre,” one bar staff member was overheard to say. “Usually people bugger off for the local acts and only hit the floor for the big name. And he was playing quite spectacularly as well.”

DJ Jacqs and Tech Head are DJs for the Nuts and Bolts Crew, and play at Curve regularly.
