I just got the flyers from the first multizone event I’ll be playing at: Luna-C. The Nu Trend has it’s own R18 zone which I’ll be playing in. Sweeet.

The last Nu Trend was pretty awesome. It began pretty low key since it was some miserable weather. But all the weather did was delay the crowds a little. The other DJs played some nice tracks (which necessitated me asking them what they were), and there was a whole lot o’dancing.
I did get a little sad when my set started (I started with Robot’s in Disguise – The DJ’s got a gun [buy]), mostly ’cause I thought everyone had left, but an influx of random people and some other people coming out of the woodwork, whom I thought had already left, got the dance floor going. Highlights included: everyone going “oo oo” to the above song; someone starting a congo line snaking around the dance floor; getting applause from the Nu Trend organisers once I’d finished (they are really awesome people and knew it was my first club set). All in all it was an awesome experience, and I can’t wait to do Shiny!
This’ll be damn awesome – so be there (and wear shiny things):

Due to some congress people having no clue about webcasting but making decisions about it anyway… they are planning to introduce a fee per song performance which will drive every webcaster out of business. This saddens me since it will almost certainly kill Digitally Imported which I’ve enjoyed immensely for several years.

I have my first booking for a club/indoor event. Thanks to Tobiaz for inviting me and I hope to see some of you there. I’m lined up to play from 2-3:15am so hopefully people will have energy to stay out till the wee hours

I thought it was about time I post another electro mix. So here it is. It’s autumn down here in New Zealand, it’s the traditional time of year that people land jet planes in the streets of Christchurch (photo by DJ Tobiaz).
Some things in the pipeline, I should be playing at some public gigs soon. One confirmed in May in Wellington, and a couple of others are likely but are a bit wait-and-see.
Tracklisting:
So after learning how to use Ableton Live, and tracking down all the songs that people requested, I’ve put together the second friend request mashup. Some of it’s pretty awesome, other parts are a bit messy, but if I don’t release it now I’ll keep fiddling around with it much more than I really should (I have that study-thing which I should be focusing on right now)
