JetPilot friend's request mashup mix 2

1 04 2007

So after learning how to use Ableton Live, and tracking down all the songs that people requested, I’ve put together the second friend request mashup. Some of it’s pretty awesome, other parts are a bit messy, but if I don’t release it now I’ll keep fiddling around with it much more than I really should (I have that study-thing which I should be focusing on right now)

Wow! I scored more hits than I was expecting.

Extra special kudos for including the SebastiAn / Kavinsky double whammy of Ed Banger greatness.

I am however left wondering what happened to Christmas Album Billy Idol. Eh? Eh? Eh?

I’ll download the mix when XTRA increases my download cap and I can return once more to the warm embrace of broadband download speeds.

You got them both in! Wheee!

(although, I suspect dancing to this mix would have to involve four gallons of coca cola or some mehtamphetamine)

Nice.

@tweeglitch: Whoops! Didn’t even occur to me that there’d be two groups to get confused between.

@His Whoreness: Oh my, I forgot all about our old friend Billy Idol. Maybe next time?

@tatjna: Thanks! It was a bit of a mission to try and all the songs working together, but I did ask for it. ;)

I probably could have made it better, but then everyone would have been waiting another month while I tried to find more time for learning Ableton!

That’s like a train crash between a shinkansen, the interisland ferry, a fluffy kitten crossing the road, the prime minister’s motorcade, frogger, and an old man with a beard on a push bike that he’s had since childhood.

@His Whoreness: Thanks!

@happyinmotion: I think you’ve succinctly summarised the very essence of this mix.

I like it but Jesus if it isn’t a bit jarring in parts

oh sad… I don’t see any Jeff Buckley! :p Also, Is it too late for a special request mashup, if I send you the two songs? It’ll be so ridiculously easy it’s not even funny.

Doh! I knew I missed something.

Anyhow, I sent you an email about the mash up…
