It’s too close to my trip to Melbourne to foot the bill for another flight so soon – I hope you understand
If it makes you feel any better, I saw Tiga last night – he shook my hand while he crouched down to sign a few things for the other punters up the front of the main stage – the bass kicked so hard my heart still beats to rhythm of You Gonna Want Me
However, as great as Tiga is, his set wasn’t the best for the evening – no, that aprticualr honour goes to the wondrous Alan Braxe – maybe it was whatever had been shoved into my palm before he came on, or maybe it was his stellar taste in music and special talent on the decksl, but oh my god was his set good – achingly good
Either way, Melbourne is an awesome town – shame you couldn’t come join the festivities – seeing Surkin and Headman and Ajax and Riot in Belgium tomorrow night – glorious

AWESOME
I reckon I’ll have to track down some Alan Braxe mixes somehow… Hope Surkin + Co. are fantastic.
And of course totally understand about not coming to chch.
I’m coming back with a copy of Alan Braxe’s album with Fred Falke – I’ll send it down to you once I’ve loaded it onto my itunes – his remixes seem more well-known and ultimately more widely-available than his own work – his remix of Dragonette’s Take It Like A Man is really rather good
Well party hard on the same dancefloor soon enough Joel
I want to go!!!
But I can’t.
Awww…. One day you might be able to make it – or I’ll eventually I might in Wellington to DJ again!
