Weird Pscience in review
17 10 2007Weird Pscience was yet another very special event put on by the Wellington Dance Collective and organised by the fantastic Wendy.

I played my set, and mixed genres up quite a lot. There was tech-house, electro, indie, and grungey distorted beats. The winning track, or the one that people made the most comments about was Hi Tack’s Let’s Dance:

Cosm entertained the crowd as he always does, and there were flasks full of coloured liquid and dry ice bubbling out of them. I can’t remember exactly what he played, but here is one of his latest tracks:

Zombie DJ AKA Helix played a really good psy-trance set, despite being sleep deprived.

A giant MDMA molecule hung from the ceiling and blessed us with happiness. The awesome thing about this is that a real chemist arranged for this and several other interesting molecules to be made.

So belated review, but it was an excellent gig. I fully recommend you try to attend a Wellington Dance Collective event if you get the chance! It’s all about the atmosphere (and music of course), and you’ll not find better.
