My next gig is an outdoor one in Wellington – come along! It’s another Wellington Dance Collective event and partly a fund raiser for the Pink Moa camp I was part of at Kiwiburn. The WDC was gracious enough to let the Pink Moa use their gear. Thanks WDC!

Summer solstice was fun times. Here’s a track list for those curious (there were a few people asking me about the tracks I played…). I got quite housey and progressive after a grungey electro start. Here’s a picture of me doing the moonwalk and pulling attractive faces:

The first tier of KiwiBurn 2008 tickets went on sale several weeks ago. I only just realised I don’t have mine yet, so if you want to come to the New Zealand Burning Man regional event you should buy now and save yourself some cash!
I went this year and had a rocking time. This might have been partly because it was my first live gig, so it’ll always hold a special place in my heart 
Weird Pscience was yet another very special event put on by the Wellington Dance Collective and organised by the fantastic Wendy.
I played my set, and mixed genres up quite a lot. There was tech-house, electro, indie, and grungey distorted beats. The winning track, or the one that people made the most comments about was Hi Tack’s Let’s Dance:

Last weekend I went out to Bullock Creek in North Canterbury for Massive Production’s Spring Equinox outdoor dance party. I had fun dancing around, weather was good until about 2am when it started spitting, but it wasn’t unbearable, just resulted in some muddy pants.

Come join us for a night of strange experiments in sound and visuals. Tesla coils, lab coats, and strange coloured liquids is what Weird Pscience is all about. Special guest COSM (Certified Organic Sound Machine) will be performing his unique live psy breaks spectacular. With support from Helix who’ll be taking us on a journey through trance, and JetPilot who’ll be breaking out the electro. Further support will be provided by well-established Wellington DJs Nick Pearce and fiDJit.
Today I just finished a new mix for submission to the Canaan Downs Festival over New Years Eve. Up round Nelson way. I haven’t been to a NYE festival before, despite wanting to for years, so I’m really looking forward to this. Hopefully the organisers will like my mix too, and extend an invitation my way.
